The day could have been spoilt by bad weather, but the guide was so good that we forgot about the Rain and Simply enjoyed his rythm, the language, the witty descriptions and the jokes. We even caught a glimpse of Hogwarts along the way...recommended, informative and not at all scary. And also important not expensive. If you speak English and know a bit about Scottish history you can surely appreciate It.
This store just absolutely took our breathe away it has all what a gothic ,adventurous and spooky figurine loving people would want run by an amazing warm fuzzy couple Robin & Aj both are such welcoming and fun loving people you can’t get enough of them. Bought quite a bit of figurines and still want more it’s reasonable and extremely good quality. A good cup of hot coffee or a glass of whiskey is the right way to sit with them and enjoy a lovely evening.
I really enjoyed the 90 minute small group tour of Greyfriars Kirkyard. Robin was very knowledgeable about the history of the people buried at Greyfriars-and as an added bonus- he pointed out several of the graves with names that inspired J.K. Rowling’s book characters. I highly recommend this tour!
This tour was fantastic! It was a small group so it was very personal. Our guide (and his cousin David) both provided their own stories that they’ve personally researched, so we learned bits that we wouldn’t have learned elsewhere. It was amazing! Thanks robin and cousin David - you both killed it!
Amazing tour! Ended up with a private tour as we were the only people booked which meant that the information was tailored to our interest and current knowledge.
The tour guide was incredible, kept us engaged and even bared with us whilst we were completely distracted by a squirrel.
Can't fault this tour in any way! So much knowledge and effort has gone in to providing us with as much information as possible (with thanks to cousin David!).
The tour was fantastic. A few jump scares, really educational and we saw a few areas off of the Royal Mile that we wouldn't have noticed otherwise. The two hosts were exceptionally engaging. Younger children might find some of it heavy going but my 14 year old nephew and my 34 year old self loved it!
I can only recommend. We booked this tour months before coming to Edinburgh, not really knowing if we were going to like it or not, but it turned out great. The guide and his accomplice were both really funny, and knew very well how to talk with an audience of very various people. I am not a big fan of history and still adored it all. The fact that it gives you gory and spooky details about places you're walking through, without forgetting to make you laugh, was super fun.
Thanks to the two guides for being so nice, and always being careful about the group too !
Alexander and his co-worker are funny, involving, interactive. The trip doesn’t take much time to walk. Experience orientation, I highly recommend it. Learn a lot about dark side of Edinburgh history, Don’t miss this tour
